THE CAMPAIGN
The Great Orchestra Adventure is a campaign founded and led by Beatrice Edwards, a 22 year old girl who battled with cancer during her teenage years, who is now combining her past cancer experiences with her present passion and interest in orchestras, creating a campaign which aims to raise awareness of the Anthony Nolan and DKMS stem cell register within the orchestral industry.

THE NEED FOR THE GOA CAMPAIGN
1 person
IS DIAGNOSED WITH BLOOD CANCER EVERY 20 MINUTES IN THE UK
2000 people
ARE IN NEED OF A BONE MARROW TRANSPLANT EACH YEAR
30%
HAVE A MATCH WITHIN THEIR FAMILY TO DONATE STEM CELLS
70%
HAVE TO SEARCH FOR AN UNRELATED MATCH FOR THEIR TRANSPLANT
Donating isn’t hard, nor is it time consuming. Registering is easy, but it is urgent! The time between someone finding out they need a bone marrow transplant to finding a donor can be critical. Let’s make that wait quicker by giving patients more possible DNA matches to choose from! Remember…we are looking for a 100% match for the best possible chance at life.
Joining the register is something to be proud of. You are one of the greats. You are standing up for yourself, your loved ones and everyone who has ever been faced with blood cancer.
With signing up to save a life being so easy to do, this is the motivation behind the great orchestra adventure campaign, by opening people's eyes to how they can make such an easy but huge difference in someone's life!
